My Inspiration Part 2

So, after being completely captivated by the Genre of Boudoir, I knew I needed to learn more technical aspects of Photography.

At some point I started to follow Amy and Jordan Demos. A husband and wife Wedding Photographer Duo from Arizona. Maybe it was Instagram, but I think it may have been a FB ad to join their Shooting and Editing Webinar.

Hummm…maybe around 2016 or so. They were SO freaking adorable to watch, that I stayed until the end of their Promotional Video. I don’t think I hesitated for more than a minute or two that this Shooting and Editing Course was going to change everything for me.

And it did!

I remember sharing this image in the Shooting and Editing FB Group and commenting on taking advantage of Nature’s Largest Softbox. A Grey, overcast day with perfect reflection from the snow on the ground.

If you are wondering how to get started with a DSLR and taking consistent images, this is the Course for you. From white balance and focus, and depth of field and expression and how to get your “style” to show in all your images, they cover it all and then some. I learned about how different lenses affect the final image. How to edit on LightRoom and how to cull (narrow down the good and weed out the bad) images with ease.

I learned composition and how to capture an intentional image. It was maybe a year later that I also invested in their Posing Course. Same thing. SO MUCH content and lifetime access. It’s not subscription based, which may make the cost a little higher, but if you are truly interested in learning the Photography Craft, it’s worth the money to have lifetime access to refer back to anytime you want.

You certainly don’t need both Courses, but one definitely compliments the next. If I had to do it over again, I would do it in the same order. Shooting and Editing and then Posing. They also have a Business Course that I am not a member of, but possibly one day. Each of their courses has it’s own unique Facebook Community to share your wins/struggles and to support each other.

These two dynamic and adorable people are full of love for each other, their business, their small kids and their Community of Photographers they have cultivated.

Their style is light and airy and whimsical. They are based in Arizona and really know how to see the light outside and make some dreamy images and lifelong memories for their clients.

They also just started a Podcast this year (Life with Amy and Jordan…where ever you subscribe to Podcasts) and have really inspiring email campaigns to stay in touch with their followers.

There is much to be learned from these two. Not just about Photography, but also about how to create an atmosphere that you WANT to be a part of.

With so many different educators on the Internet to learn from, these two are definitely in my Top 3.

Thanks Amy and Jordan for creating such wonderful, thorough and well communicated content. It was definitely a game changer for me to start with the Shooting and Editing Course, fast followed by the Posing Course.

All of these images were taken within the first year of completing both courses. Love them all (because I know what the before images looked like, LOL)
