Our Premier announced today that June 12 Photographers and many other service based businesses can go back to work with Health and Safety Measures in place.
This is great news and although that also means Photography Studio’s, I won’t be opening up my Studio for now. It’s a Home Studio and I prefer to err on the side of caution and wait a little longer. I am, however, very excited to start shooting outdoor portraits for Families (under 10 people) and for Individual Portraits. I won’t shoot if I am not feeling 100% and I would ask you to reschedule if you aren’t feeling 100%. Social distancing is absolutely do-able with outdoor sessions.
I will be sharing some special packages later this week, so stay tuned. I know I have personally learned a lot over the last couple months and the biggest one is to cherish your family and friends, as nothing in life is certain and there are no guarantees. In some cases there may not even be time to “do it tomorrow”. This lockdown came fast and lasted a long time unexpectedly.
From a Photography perspective, I learned that portraits of your Family are so important. When you can’t plan a trip to see your family, or even in some cases, visit them if they live down the street, having photos printed on your wall that you can cherish everyday, is SO important.
I also watched many businesses struggle over the last few months and some flourish. Those that were able to change direction and move to online, curb side or contactless delivery reinvented how they went to work. In some cases, unfortunately, those options just weren’t possible. For those small businesses, I hope your loyal customers will be standing in your line to support you as you open up.
