While I am super fortunate be able to work from home, I have needed a project to take my mind off what’s going on around us.
I signed up for a cool Self Portrait Project with Kara Mara Studios. It’s been a really interesting Journey with no end to the learning and creativity.
I got creative with where I took these photos and came up with a few ideas for the next time I grab my tripod.
These were taken down my hallway with very little light, so you can see the grain and noise in the image with an 8000 ISO. Grain in this case I think adds to the mood. What do you think?
From the hallway, I moved to the living room, in front of the picture window (that is also occupied with all of our starter garden plants). Making what little space I had work.
I am loving Black and White edits these days, but it’s hard not to keep some in color with my hair against the black background.
I was excited to finally start this project, but today didn’t feel like the day. It was a very busy at work and grabbing my camera was the last thing I felt like doing. Today was the day I had bookmarked for this project though, so I just went through the motions. Some days…that’s the way it works. Just go through the motions.
I learned a few things, including settings and interval exposure (slightly more fancy than the timer).
Here’s hoping the next day I bookmark I’ll be feeling more creative. I’ll be making some notes for what I would do differently next time.
At the end of the day, I achieved a few good images and I’ll to be more creative next time.
Hope everyone is keeping well and staying busy and happy.
Xoxo
