I’m still here…I promise

What have I been up to?

I know it seems like I have lost interest in my Photography, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

I have been busting my tooshie with online training on everything related to portrait photography, boudoir photography and lighting.

I am excited about my new watermark for my Instagram images.  I separated my Instagram profiles. My Portrait Photography, @teiraferris,  from my Boudoir Photography, @garters_and_lace.   I also created a new Instagram for my LipSense® Business, @teirasbombshellbeauties .  (That’s another conversation altogether).

What have I learned?  So much!

When it comes to posing, my favorite quote from Jen Rozenbaum is “If it bends, bend it”.

When it comes to lighting, it seems super complicated, but if you follow a few key rules, and it’s not that scary.  I’m currently learning about Studio Lighting, as that is ideally my end game…to have a Home Studio for Portraits (all kinds).

I have been following and learning from amazing Photographers and educators like Sue Bryce, Jen Rozenbaum, Lindsay Adler and Boudoir Divas.

I’ve also been planning my 2018 Photography Objectives.  These are tricky.

  1. My biggest priority is to nail down my Pricing Structure.  This is so much harder than I thought it would be.  It’s a balance between appreciating that I still have a lot to learn, with,  how much I have learned so far to be able to capture images that I am super proud of.
  2. I also want to build my Glamour/Portrait Portfolio, not just Boudoir.

If you, or someone you know is looking to get all glammed up, and would like some fun portraits taken, please reach out.  Hair, makeup, nails, costume changes , etc.  I’m happy to book a BFF Shoot where you and your Best Friend play dress up and enjoy a Model for the Day Experience.  It would also be awesome as a Mom and Daughter Experience as we get closer to Mother’s Day.

Sometimes this is what brainstorming looks like for me.  The more I type, the more ideas flow.

This is a journey for me, and I am happy to share each step of the journey, not just the destination.

I’m also completely open to suggestions on pricing.  What would you like to pay for a Model for the Day Experience?  A few hours, multiple costume changes, cool venue (TBD), Photo Album and digital images.

That’s all for tonight.  I really just wanted to check in to say I am still extremely focused on my Photography.  It’s just been a lot of behind the scenes education lately which is difficult to share visually.
