My living room has a great southern facing window that lets in a ton of natural light, but with all the distractions in my living room, I struggle getting product images that were clean and crisp and distraction free.
I was surfing through Pinterest one night and came across a DIY Light Box to help diffuse light and eliminate shadows. A wonderful bi-product of even, diffused light, was also a clean back ground without distractions.
WIN-WIN
Off to town to pick up some black and white bristol board and some white tissue paper. Arts and Crafts were in full swing by mid afternoon.
I want to say I am happy with my DIY Light Box, but I definitely know what I will do differently next time. BIGGER BOX. This one is too small. Its a perfect size for a ball of yarn and not much more. You can see on the flower pot , there are reflections in the shiny surface from the “tissue paper window”. In an ideal scenario there would be no glare and no reflections.
This was a good lesson, but now I will wait until a huge box shows up at my door so I make another DIY Light Box.
