Little treasures in weird times

We are so lucky to have the sweetest girls live down the street that love having their photos taken and love to come by to feed the chickens and play on the tractor.

I am more than excited to grab my camera when I see them running up the driveway for an outside visit with Henderson and his Ladies…Joey and Felicia (both hens, but Joey got her name before we knew she was hen). Truth be told, Henderson was originally Hennifer Lopez before we knew she was a Rooster. Totally not relevant to this post, LOL.

My favourite line from the little one…”I’m sassy you know”. Oh sister, you don’t have to tell me, but who told you? Mom. LOL

So much sass and energy with these two little beauties. I got to experiment with back light and composition and shutter speed and high ISO on the darker days. Can’t wait to see them in their Fall/Winter clothes and get some more shots. I love the imagination you can find when playing with 4 and 8 year old girls. I can’t tell you how many times I got on the back blade of the tractor while the little one “drove me down a bumpy road to Grandma’s house”. I can play make believe like it’s my job.

You don’t need anything fancy to create super cute Family photos. In these images it was an old tractor and rickety back yard swing. Just great evening sun and the cutest of humans. oh, and a Dog Pool…LOL.
