Day 41 and I feel like I am totally getting hang of PhotoShop. That was a major goal when this whole work from home, stay at home situation started.
Today’s Self Portraits were taken at the same time as the ones I shared yesterday, but these had seams all over the background. My portable home made V-Flats work amazing, but require a bit more editing.
What’s a V-Flat? There is a step by step tutorial on my Instagram Stories. Www.instagram.com/teiraferrisphotography

The purpose of this project was to be intentional with emotion as well as lighting. This is kinda how I feel throughout the day…on and off. Bury my head and try not to focus on the things I can’t control.

And then other times throughout the day I feel happy that I got to see all my co-workers on Zoom, sometimes multiple times a day. I get to stay safe at home and still work. Really…I am grateful more than I am anxious. Probably a 90/10 split (most days). I miss seeing all my favourite humans each day, but I remain grateful that we are all staying home and staying safe. It’s the right thing to do and I feel good about it.

And there we have it. The end of this first session of Self Portraits. The ups and downs of self quarantine…in photos.
