June 3 – 9th
Another week has gone by and I am no closer to finding an Instagram theme, but I can happily say I haven’t missed posting a pic a day yet!
I have three favorites this week.
First…the Snow Bush Spirea. There is a house on my way home that has the absolute best front border to their lawn all done with a great cedar split rail fence and Snow Bush Spirea bushes. The blossom season is only a week, maybe two with light wind, so I knew I had to take this route home so I could pull over and snap a pic on my iPhone. These bushes look like the magical white fireworks that explode in the night sky on Canada Day.
Second…the dog bones. I mostly love the composition as it gives the illusion of a LOT of bones in the bag (not really an illusion), but also has a nice bokeh that keeps the image soft and creamy. These bones are absolutely not soft and creamy when you stub your toe in the middle of the night.
Last…The girls cuddling with each other. They were sitting on my lap, so although I had a great vantage point with my eyes, I only had my 50mm lens on my camera, so I couldn’t back up for a wider shot, but once I took this one, I realized I didn’t need to back up. This showed the closeness perfectly.
