May 6 – 12
This week was definitely about documenting my every day. The learnings came from getting the details while trying to tell a story without words. May 10 was all about capturing real life worry with recent flooding. Where the river meets the sidewalk. I tried to keep the sandbags around a nearby hotel out of the image as best I could, to leave you looking at just the level of the river, through a closed gate. Even the foreground of gate shows the severity of not being able to take a walk along a very popular riverside path.
I am trying to not only take technically correct images, but to also have the images tell a story. That is extremely hard to do every day. It may actually take all 365 days and then some to accomplish storytelling through images.
