Putting yourself out there is hard! Do it anyway.

When I started sharing my Self Portraits, I would click “post” and then vanish for a while, nervous to see if I got the dreaded comment…”you must really like yourself”.

Minus a lot Celsius…but I did a shoot anyway!

EEK! No one wants to feel that way.

Fortunately that phrase never came, at least not yet…knocking on wood.

What did come were compliments of how beautiful my photography was becoming. Fellow photographers were complimenting me on being able to get myself in focus and demonstrate genuine emotion. Not easy things to do without being able to see that back of my LCD screen.

Self Portrait Birthday Edition. This is 47.

I have been thinking for awhile now of creating a comprehensive guide to taking amazing self portraits. Something that would benefit men and women. It could be for personal use or to help elevate and level up their personal brand for their business and online presence.

I can think of many small business owners that would benefit off the top of my head.

Hairstylists, makeup artists, Jewellery designers/sellers like Stella and Dot, Fashion accessories owners or 31 Consultants, Real Estate Agents, so many network marketing consultants (which I definitely believe can provide a nice income). The list of people that can benefit from learning how to take amazing self portraits, is truly endless.

These last three photos were all taken on my 47th birthday. Different spot in my backyard with a different scarf.

Of course I would love to be your Photographer and do all the work for you, but I know sometimes the budget isn’t there for quarterly photos that match the season. Wouldn’t you love to have new photos when you have a dramatic hairstyle rebrand or any other fun time in your life you would like to capture in photos?

I want to help you crush your photos and get you all the love and compliments when you share the photos with your friends and family. If you are like me, even if you don’t want to admit it, compliments really do make my day a little brighter. I can’t help it, and after all the Self Portraits I have taken and shared, I’m not afraid to admit it. I feel good knowing even one person likes a photo that I share.
