When I look at these most recent photos of myself, I don’t just see pretty photos.
I see a confident woman that has worked hard and studied for MANY hours on posing, lighting, expression, composition and manual settings to get these images.
I also see a woman that has worked hard to design a life I am proud of. One that keeps me challenged, busy and always working to be better.
I see a woman with goals and ambition.
I see a woman that owns the land I am standing on and the trees that surround me.
Pretty photos are great to have and admittedly I feel pretty in these photos…but they are so much more.
Why portrait sessions are important
Portrait sessions should create feelings and emotions, not just a nice photo to share on social media.
Each portrait session captures a moment in time.
I appreciate booking traditional sessions, like Christmas, Graduation, Engagement sessions…but there is nothing weird about booking a session to celebrate any life event, big or small.
Maybe you want to celebrate:
A. you bought a new house
b. you just got a new job
c. you paid off your debt
d. your kids were accepted into the school of their dreams
e. everyone is in the same place at the same time
f. a significant life event
f. a close friend has accepted a job out of town…you get where I am going with this.
Moral of my story…book the session.
You can create photos like this too
If you want to learn how to create images like these yourself, contact me and I can help you.
I am working on a few projects to teach new photography enthusiasts to get off automatic mode on their camera and be more intentional about their manual settings and all the things that take photos from good to great.
